Stealing Time was built by Al Vaughn, a working caregiver for her mother who lives with Early Onset Frontal Temporal Dementia. Al finds herself asking, “How the **** is anyone supposed to know this?” on a daily basis and is getting pretty sick of it.

Not a clinician, not an institution, but someone who lived it and would have struggled to find resources if she didn’t have an incredible support system of family and friends.

This project is rooted in that experience and driven by the understanding that she is lucky, and many aren’t.

The name and idea came from her mother, Julie, in the early stages of her dementia.
